Sinead has to be one of the most patient women I have ever met, She has been with Mike Frank through all of his senior football achievements. Mike Frank is one of the greatest Corner forwards ever to grace any football field he is the only person to have won an All Ireland Medal at every level of football from club to senior county, which is some achievement when you actually sit down to think about it.
We were both humbled and delighted when Sinead contacted us a while back to see if we were available to shoot their wedding, both Sinead and Mike Frank have very quite shy personallities and wanted their day recorded in our now recognisable Journal Art style, we of course were delighted to share their day with them.
The journey from Killorglin to Sneem was always going to be interesting (anybody that knows the area down here will understand) but Sinead and Mike Frank decided they wanted to go out through Caragh Lake where Mike Frank popped the question and then through Ballaughbeama Pass and on to Sneem. Wow the sun split the stones as with all our weddings so far this year the rugged mountain pass with enough room for 1 car either way (barely) was just jaw droppingly beautiful, the photography just happened as we were all having so much fun.
I can think of very few settings in Ireland that compare to the setting in Sneem, the backdrop for the family photographers is beyond description, all of Sinead and Mike Frank’s guests were able to enjoy the drinks reception on the patio outside which when weather allows again is almost unmatchable for its beauty surrounding you.
Again we say thank you to the guys for their trust in us, we had a fantastic time shooting with you all day, it was a pleasure being around your gang and the experience that accompanied everything we did.
