We have had a great spell of weather lately and last weekend we found ourselves in Caherciveen completly by accident on the same day as their annual legendary race meeting. The meeting is ran on a track outside the town on a wonderful point out in the bay, which now has houses built around the place, so the jockeys find themselves literaaly racing around the houses, but it is all good fun and one of the last bastions of Irish life from an age not to long ago.
